What is Soul Centred Psychotherapy
Soul Centred Psychotherapy is the name given to a form of therapy which focuses on relationship, mindfulness, attention, lived experience, the energetic field, meaning, honouring, enchantment and the sacred. It is a gentle, depth-based approach that offers a safe and supportive space to explore your inner world. It honours the natural wisdom of the psyche and understands healing as something that unfolds through presence, relationship, and compassionate attention.
Rather than trying to fix or change you, this approach invites curiosity about what your life is showing you. Emotions, patterns, symptoms, dreams, and experiences are welcomed as meaningful, offering insight into what may be seeking care, understanding, or expression.
In our sessions, we move at a pace that feels respectful and grounding. Together, we listen inwardly to thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the quieter, often unspoken layers of experience. There is space for reflection, feeling, and meaning-making, allowing deeper understanding and integration to emerge naturally.
When difficult memories or trauma arise, I use gentle, supportive techniques such as bilateral stimulation processing informed by EMDR and energy psychology methods to help your system process safely, without becoming overwhelmed. Your nervous system, boundaries, and sense of safety are always central to the work.
Soul-Centred Psychotherapy honours the whole person mind, body, emotions, and soul and recognises that healing is not about becoming someone else, but about coming home to yourself with greater clarity, compassion, and ease.

What is Trauma?
Trauma is any experience that overwhelms our ability to cope and leaves a lasting imprint on the body-mind system. It may come from events we live through directly, or from what we witness or hear about. When unresolved, trauma can show up as anxiety, sleep issues, physical tension, depression, or difficulties in relationships. Whether it began in childhood or later in life, healing involves gently releasing what the nervous system has been holding and creating a more balanced, grounded, and compassionate relationship with yourself.

How Can Soul-Centred Psychotherapy Help?
Soul-Centred Psychotherapy creates a safe, compassionate space to explore and gently release these stored experiences. We work with your body, emotions, thoughts, and sense of meaning, helping you reconnect with yourself in a grounded, empowering way.
Soulful Presence Counselling
Soulful Presence Counselling is a heart-centred, gentle approach that focuses on being fully present with your inner experience. It supports you in connecting with your emotions, thoughts, and body sensations in a compassionate, embodied way.
Through mindfulness, somatic awareness, and reflective dialogue, this approach helps you cultivate self-compassion, clarity, and a sense of inner balance. It’s a safe space to explore, heal, and grow, allowing you to navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and wholeness.

The Role of Mindfulness and Relaxation in Trauma Therapy
For those working through trauma whether complex, developmental, or stemming from early life experiences, mindfulness and relaxation are vital tools in the healing process. These practices help regulate the nervous system, keeping you within your window of tolerance and allowing trauma to be processed safely and effectively.
Learning to move in and out of stress, and then return to a place of balance, supports integration of experiences and the development of new, healthier ways of responding. This ability to self-regulate is deeply empowering, offering a profound sense of stability, resilience, and inner calm for anyone who has experienced dysregulation or overwhelm.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the art of coming home to yourself. It is the gentle turning of attention toward this very moment with curiosity, openness, and compassion. It is feeling the rise and fall of your breath, the subtle movements of your body, and the quiet whispers of your heart.
In mindfulness, there is no need to fix or change anything; simply being present allows the mind to soften, the body to release, and the soul to remember its own rhythm. It is a sanctuary within, where clarity, peace, and insight can emerge, and where you can meet life and yourself with greater presence, tenderness, and grace.

CHAKRA WORK
"What we feel, think and are is, to a great extent, determined by the state of our ductless glands and viscera." - Aldous Huxley
In Soul-Centred Psychotherapy, developmental trauma can be explored and healed through the Chakra system, an ancient understanding of energy pathways in the body. This approach blends the timeless wisdom of the Chakras with contemporary insights from psychobiology, providing both a theoretical framework and practical tools for healing.
Working with the Chakras offers a way to address patterns formed in childhood and character structures, adding a powerful, embodied dimension to the therapeutic process. It supports the release of held emotions, restores balance, and fosters greater connection with your body, energy, and inner self.
Bilateral Stimulation Processing (BLSP)
Bilateral Stimulation Processing is a client-centred therapeutic approach informed by the pioneering work of Francine Shapiro and the principles of EMDR, with additional elements drawn from Energy Psychology, including muscle testing and meridian-based frameworks. In our work together, we will collaboratively identify the specific experiences or concerns to focus on in therapy.
When trauma occurs, it can become held within the nervous system, encoded through images, sounds, thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. BLSP uses gentle eye movements, alternating sounds, or rhythmic tapping to support the nervous system in releasing and reprocessing these stored experiences. This process may be similar to what occurs naturally during REM sleep, when the brain processes unconscious material. By engaging this mechanism while awake, the mind–body system is able to process and integrate experiences in a more conscious and supported way. Throughout this work, it is your own innate healing capacity that leads the process, and you remain fully present and in control at all times. BLSP is supportive and effective for healing trauma and emotional overwhelm, allowing integration and relief to happen at a pace that feels right for you.

Tapping / Thought Matrix Meridian Therapy
Tapping, also known as Thought Matrix Meridian Therapy, is a gentle, structured technique that draws on the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Similar to acupuncture but without needles, it works with the body’s energetic meridian system to release blocked emotions, trauma, and limiting beliefs.
Tapping is a gentle and powerful tool that helps release stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions from the body. Using specific acupressure points, combined with focusing on your own thoughts and feelings, it supports your nervous system to settle, old patterns to shift, and inner calm to return.
My approach comes from Thought Field Meridian Therapy (TFMT), which encourages you to identify the thoughts, emotions, or beliefs you want to work with, making the healing process deeply personal and empowering. Tapping can help you feel more grounded, regulated, and free, offering a practical skill you can use both in therapy and in everyday life.
The Focusing Process
The Focusing process is a gentle way of bringing your attention into your body and noticing the sensations that arise there. When we feel an emotion, consider an experience, or reflect on a belief or concern, our body often carries subtle signals – tensions, sensations, or areas of resonance – that hold meaning.
Instead of trying to analyse or ignore these responses, Focusing invites you to simply notice them and allow any words, images, memories, or inner voices to emerge naturally. This process honours the wisdom of the body, giving it space to guide insight and healing.
Developed by Eugene Gendlin and explored in his book Focusing, this approach centres on what he called the “felt sense” - a body sensation that carries meaning. Just as a baby instinctively knows it needs warmth, comfort, and nourishment, the felt sense “knows” what it needs to move toward healing. In Focusing, we don’t force change; we create the conditions for the body and mind to shift and reveal what needs attention, allowing natural integration and growth.

Therapeutic Ritual
Therapeutic ritual is a gentle, symbolic way of working with the unconscious mind. Using metaphor, enactment, and intention, it helps bring about deep inner shifts that words alone cannot always reach. This practice can support profound transformation and healing, helping you move through inner thresholds with clarity and presence.
Creative Therapy
"The object of therapeutic treatment is to return imagination to the things that have become only physical." - Sardello
In our modern, left-brain-focused culture, thinking, analysing, and problem-solving are often emphasised as the primary ways to grow and heal. While these skills are important, they can overlook the deeper wisdom of the right brain. Creative therapy invites expression through drawing, painting, clay work, and other ways of “giving form” to experience. This process allows the unconscious mind to speak, helping us explore the psyche, understand our inner challenges, and uncover pathways toward healing and resolution.

Working with Parts
Within each of us are different aspects or “parts” that can feel almost like separate identities. By gently connecting with these parts, we can understand the distress, pain, or unmet needs they carry. This process allows healing and integration, helping each part find its place within the whole self, so that you can feel more balanced, harmonious, and complete.
Working with Archetypes
"Within the affliction is a complex, within the complex an archetype, which in turn refers to a god/goddess… by reverting the pathology to a god, we recognise the divinity within the pathology and give the god his/her due." - James Hillman
Archetypes, as understood in Jungian psychotherapy, are universal patterns within the collective unconscious that shape our experiences, behaviours, and inner life. Working with archetypes allows clients to see themselves as part of a larger human story, recognising that their struggles are shared across the human experience and often finding archetypal guidance in the process of healing.
Through this work, you can learn to identify the dominant archetypes influencing your psyche, develop conscious relationships and boundaries with them, and nurture other, less dominant archetypal qualities. This deepens self-understanding, supports personal growth, and brings a greater sense of harmony and wholeness.

TRANCE
Trance is a gentle form of hypnotherapy inspired by the work of Milton H. Erickson. It allows us to access the unconscious mind by temporarily bypassing the conscious, everyday thinking mind. In this relaxed and focused state, new insights and learnings can emerge, helping you respond to past challenges or current situations with fresh perspectives, skills, and approaches.
